Fill in the quiz size table¶
Guide type: Task guide Difficulty: Intermediate Applies to: Fit quizzes
Add or edit the size table in a fit quiz so SmartSize knows how each size maps to body measurement ranges.
Before you start¶
- You have a fit quiz in Draft status. If you need to create one, follow Create a fit quiz.
- You know the body measurements for each size. Common sources are a supplier size chart, a brand catalog, or your own garment specs.
- Decide whether you want to enter data manually, paste from a spreadsheet, or upload an image for AI extraction.
1. Open the size table¶
In SmartSize, go to Fit quizzes and open the quiz you want to edit. Scroll to the Size table section and expand it.

2. Add a size row¶
Click Add size. A new row appears with the next size label, such as S, M, or L. To change the label, click the size name and type the value your store uses, for example 8, 10, 12 or XS, S, M.
Repeat this for every size the product offers.
3. Enter measurement ranges¶
Each body measurement you selected when creating the quiz appears as a column. For every size row, enter:
- Min — the smallest body measurement that fits this size
- Max — the largest body measurement that still fits this size

If your chart lists a single value instead of a range, use that value for both Min and Max.
4. Paste from a spreadsheet¶
If your data is already in a spreadsheet, you can paste the entire table at once.
- In your spreadsheet, select the size column and the measurement columns.
- Copy the selection.
- In SmartSize, open the Size table section and click Paste table.
- Paste the copied data.

SmartSize fills the rows and columns automatically.

After pasting, review every cell. Check that: - Each size appears in its own row. - Measurement values landed in the correct columns. - The unit matches what your shoppers use.
5. Add or remove measurement columns¶
If you need a measurement that is not in the table, you cannot add it directly from the size table section. You must edit the quiz body parts instead. Save the quiz, then follow Edit fit quiz questions to change which measurements the quiz collects.
If a measurement column is not needed, leave the cells empty or adjust the quiz body parts so that column is removed.
6. Copy the table to another quiz¶
Click Copy table to copy the entire size table to your clipboard. You can paste it into another fit quiz to reuse the same measurements.
7. Save the quiz¶
Click Save. SmartSize stores the size table with the quiz.
Check the result¶
Make sure the quiz is set to Active so shoppers can see it on the storefront.
The size table shows every size with its min and max values filled in. Open the live preview on the right side of the editor, enter a test height and weight, and confirm the quiz recommends a size that matches the table.
If the recommendation does not match your expectations, check that the min and max values are not reversed and that the units are consistent.
