Preview a fit quiz

Guide type: Task guide Difficulty: Beginner Applies to: Fit quizzes

Test a fit quiz before you publish it so you can check the shopper experience and the size recommendations.

Before you start

  • The fit quiz is saved in Draft or Active status.
  • The quiz has a completed size table.
  • The quiz is connected to at least one product.

1. Open the quiz editor

In SmartSize, go to Fit quizzes and open the quiz you want to test.

2. Use the live preview

The right side of the quiz editor shows a live preview of the quiz as shoppers will see it.

For a Prediction quiz, enter a height, weight, and age in the preview. The preview updates immediately and shows the recommended size.

3. Walk through the full quiz flow

Continue through the quiz until you reach the final recommendation. Check that:

  • The questions make sense for the product.
  • The measurement inputs accept values in the unit your shoppers use.
  • The recommendation shows a size that matches the size table.

For a Prediction quiz, you may see a body-volume question after the initial inputs.

4. Check the review step

If the quiz has the measurement review step turned on, shoppers can adjust their predicted measurements before receiving a recommendation.

5. Review the recommendation screen

The final screen shows the recommended size, fit confidence, and any callouts such as "Perfect fit" or "Fit may be tight."

6. Switch to mobile preview

Use the mobile preview to see how the quiz looks on a phone. Check that buttons, sliders, and text are easy to read and tap.

Check the result

Remember, the quiz must be set to Active for shoppers to see it on the storefront. Preview works in Draft, but only Active quizzes are visible to shoppers.

You should see a clear size recommendation for common body types. If the recommendation seems off, review the size table values or the product fit settings before publishing.
