Turn on the SmartSize app extensions¶

SmartSize uses app extensions to show size chart and fit quiz popups on your storefront. Turn on the extensions in your live Shopify theme so shoppers can open SmartSize from product pages.
Before you start¶
Make sure you have:
- installed SmartSize
- access to your Shopify theme editor
- at least one size chart or fit quiz ready to show on your store
1. Open the App extensions card¶
From the SmartSize Home page, find the App extensions card.
If the card says Inactive, click Show details.
2. Check which extensions are inactive¶
The expanded card shows the status for each extension:
- Size chart extension
- Fit quiz extension
If an extension is Inactive on your live theme, click Add to theme for that extension.
3. Turn on the Size chart extension¶
Shopify opens the theme editor. In App embeds, find SmartSize and select Size chart.
Turn on the Size chart app embed. You can also review the button settings, including Button text, Style, Icon, Text color, Background color, and Corner radius.
Click Save.
When Shopify shows Changes saved, the size chart extension has been saved in the theme.
4. Turn on the Fit quiz extension¶
If you use fit quizzes, repeat the same process for the Fit quiz app embed.
In App embeds, find SmartSize and select Fit quiz. Turn it on, review the button settings, then click Save.
5. Confirm the extensions are active¶
Go back to SmartSize. The App extensions card should show Active when the extensions are active on your live theme.
Check the result¶
Open a product page in your storefront and confirm that the SmartSize button appears.
If you do not see the button, check that:
- the extension is active on the live theme, not only on a draft theme
- your size chart or fit quiz is Active
- your product display rules match the product you are viewing
