Save and reuse size chart styles¶
Guide type: Task guide Difficulty: Intermediate Applies to: Size chart design and templates
Save a custom style preset from a size chart you have already designed, then reuse it on new charts to keep your store's sizing content consistent.
Before you start¶
- You have a size chart with the colors, fonts, spacing, or table style you want to reuse.
- You know how to open the size chart editor and adjust block settings.
- The chart has at least one table block, since most saved styles affect table appearance.
1. Open the styled size chart¶
In SmartSize, go to Size charts and open the chart whose look you want to save.
2. Save the style preset¶
In the editor, open the style preset panel. Click Save style preset.
Enter a clear name that describes the look, such as Summer collection table style or Brand default clean. A good name helps you recognize the preset later when you have several saved styles.
Click Save. SmartSize stores the preset so you can apply it to other charts.
A preset saves the visual settings from the current chart, such as table colors, header style, cell padding, border radius, and typography choices. It does not copy the actual measurements, text content, images, or product display rules. Each chart keeps its own content.
What is saved in a preset¶
| Saved | Not saved |
|---|---|
| Table block colors and header style | Measurements and size values |
| Cell padding and border radius | Text content and headings |
| Typography (font, size, weight) | Images and media |
| Border and divider styles | Product display rules |
| Striping and alternate row colors | Chart publish status |
Preset management¶
You can save, rename, and delete style presets at any time:
- Save — Create a new preset from the current chart's table style.
- Rename — Change the name of an existing preset without affecting charts that use it.
- Delete — Remove a preset. Charts that already use the preset keep their current style; only the reusable preset is removed from the picker.
3. Create a new chart from the preset¶
When you create a new size chart, SmartSize guides you through choosing the audience, garment type, and visual style.
On the style step, you will see: - built-in presets such as Clean (minimal and spacious), Bold (high-contrast dark headers), Classic (traditional striped rows), and Soft (warm tones with rounded feel) - your saved custom presets
Pick your custom preset. SmartSize applies the saved colors, spacing, and table style to the new chart. If you do not see your custom preset, make sure you saved it from a chart that has a table block.
4. Apply a preset to an existing chart¶
You can also apply a saved preset to a chart you have already created.
- Open the existing chart in the editor.
- Open the style preset panel.
- Click Apply style preset.
- Choose the preset you want to use.
SmartSize updates the chart's table style and visual settings to match the preset.
5. Review and adjust¶
After applying a preset, review the chart in the desktop and mobile previews. Make any small adjustments needed for the specific product or audience.
For example, a preset designed for tops might need its header colors tweaked for shoes, or a chart with many columns might need reduced cell padding so the table fits on mobile. The preset gives you a consistent starting point, but you can customize each chart individually after applying it.
Check the result¶
- Your saved preset appears in the style picker whenever you create or edit a chart.
- Charts that use the same preset share a consistent look.
- Shoppers see the same visual style across different product pages.
Make sure the chart is set to Active so shoppers can see the styled content on the storefront.
If a preset does not appear, check that you saved it while editing a chart with table block styles. Some block-specific settings are saved with the preset, while content such as text and images stays unique to each chart.
To update an existing preset, open the chart that originally defined it, adjust the style, and save the preset again under the same name. SmartSize replaces the old version with the new one.
