SmartSize helps Shopify merchants reduce size-related returns and support tickets by showing the right size information at the right moment on product pages.

Instead of guessing their size, shoppers can open a size chart or take a short fit quiz to find the best fit. SmartSize inserts a Size Chart button or a Find my size button directly on your product pages, so shoppers never leave the buying flow.

What SmartSize does

SmartSize connects three pieces of your store:

  1. Size charts — Tables of measurements that shoppers can browse and compare.
  2. Fit quizzes — Short questionnaires that recommend a size based on the shopper's body measurements. Available on Pro plans.
  3. Product display rules — Rules that decide which size chart or fit quiz appears on each product page.

When a shopper visits a product page, SmartSize checks the rules, finds the matching chart or quiz, and shows the button. The shopper clicks the button, sees the chart or takes the quiz, and gets a size recommendation without leaving the page.

What you can build

  • A size chart for every product group — Create charts for dresses, shirts, shoes, or any product type. Connect each chart to the right products with display rules.
  • A fit quiz for complex sizing — Build a quiz that asks shoppers about their measurements and recommends a size. Useful for categories where standard sizes vary between brands.
  • Translated storefront buttons — Show Size Chart and Find my size in the language your shoppers speak.
  • Custom placement and styling — Control where the button appears and how the popup looks to match your store design.

How SmartSize works on your store

SmartSize shows the right size information on the right product pages by connecting three pieces of your setup: size charts, fit quizzes, and product display rules. Understanding how they fit together helps you build a storefront that gives shoppers useful guidance without extra maintenance.

Size charts are tables of measurements that shoppers browse and compare. A chart can show standard sizes, international conversions, or brand-specific measurements. You create a chart once, then connect it to many products.

Fit quizzes ask shoppers a few questions about their body measurements and recommend the best size. Quizzes use a size table that maps measurements to product sizes. Available on Pro plans.

Product display rules tell SmartSize which products should show which chart or quiz. Instead of connecting charts one by one to every product, you set rules based on collections, product types, tags, or vendors. When a shopper visits a product page, SmartSize checks the rules, finds the matching chart or quiz, and shows the button.

When a shopper opens a product page, SmartSize follows this flow:

This means you do not need to manually place a size chart on every product page. Set the rules once, and SmartSize handles the rest automatically.

How to get started

  1. Add SmartSize to your Shopify theme.
  2. Create your first size chart.
