Assign a size chart to products¶

Connect a size chart to products, collections, product types, or tags so shoppers see the right chart on the right product pages.
Before you start¶
- The size chart has been created and saved.
- You know which products should show this chart.
1. Open the size chart¶
In SmartSize, go to Size charts and open the chart you want to connect.
2. Open Product display rules¶
In the editor, find Product display rules and click Select products.
3. Choose how to match products¶
SmartSize offers several ways to connect a chart to products. Pick the option that best fits your store organization.
Match individual products¶
Select one or more specific products from your catalog. This is useful when you want precise control over which pages show the chart.
Click Select to confirm.
Match a collection¶
Choose a Shopify collection. Every product in that collection will show the chart.
This is the best choice when you organize products by collection, such as Women, Men, or Kids.
Match a product type¶
Choose a Shopify product type, such as Dress or Hoodie. Every product with that type will show the chart.
This works well when your catalog uses consistent product types.
Match by tags¶
Choose one or more Shopify product tags. Every product with any of those tags will show the chart.
This is useful for seasonal or promotional grouping, such as products tagged Summer or Sale.
4. Review the matching products¶
After you add a rule, SmartSize shows how many products match.
Check that the number looks right. If it is too low, your rule may be too narrow. If it is too high, your rule may be too broad.
5. Add more rules (optional)¶
You can add multiple rules to a single chart. For example, connect a chart to both the Women collection and the Dress product type.
Use the Match any or Match all toggle to control whether a product must match every rule or just one rule.
- Match any — a product shows the chart if it matches at least one rule.
- Match all — a product shows the chart only if it matches every rule.
6. Save the chart¶
Click Save. SmartSize confirms when the chart has been saved.
Check the result¶
Make sure the chart is set to Active so shoppers can see it on the storefront.
Open a product page that matches the product display rules. The Size Chart button should appear. Click it and confirm the chart opens.
If the button does not appear, check that:
- the chart is Active, not Draft
- the Size chart extension is active on your live theme
- the product matches at least one rule
