Review and correct AI table data¶
Guide type: Task guide Difficulty: Intermediate Applies to: Fit quizzes
Verify and fix the data SmartSize extracts from a size chart image before shoppers see recommendations based on it.
Before you start¶
- You have already uploaded a size chart image and run AI extraction. If you have not, follow Upload a size table with AI first.
- You have the original size chart image or spreadsheet available for comparison.
1. Compare the extracted table to your source¶
After AI extraction completes, SmartSize shows the extracted size table and a summary.

Open your original size chart image in another window. Check each row and column against the source.
2. Check that every size is present¶
AI extraction sometimes misses the smallest or largest size, especially if the chart uses unusual formatting. Count the size rows in SmartSize and confirm the number matches your source chart.
If a size is missing, click Add size and type the missing size label. Then enter the min and max values manually.
3. Verify the measurement values¶
Compare the numbers in each cell to your source chart. Watch for these common errors:
| Error | What to look for | How to fix |
|---|---|---|
| Swapped columns | Bust values appear in the Waist column | Click the cell and type the correct value |
| Wrong unit | Values are ten times too large or too small | Re-enter the values in the correct unit |
| Merged cells | Two sizes share one row of data | Split the values into separate rows |
| Text artifacts | Letters or symbols mixed with numbers | Delete the extra characters and retype |
| Missing ranges | Only one value where your source shows two | Enter the same value for both Min and Max |
4. Confirm the column labels¶
SmartSize labels the columns based on the My image contains option you selected before extraction. If the labels do not match your chart, the extraction may have misread the headers.
You cannot rename measurement columns directly. If the labels are wrong because the wrong body parts were selected for the quiz, save the quiz and follow Edit fit quiz questions to change the collected measurements. The size table columns will update to match.
5. Review the AI summary¶
The AI Assistant summary highlights anything unusual it noticed during extraction, such as ambiguous headers or unusual value patterns.

Read the summary notes. If the AI flags a potential issue, investigate that area of the table even if the numbers look correct at first glance.
6. Test with the live preview¶
Use the live preview on the right side of the editor to test common body types. Enter values that should land squarely in a size range, and check that the recommended size matches your expectations.
Also test edge cases: - A shopper near the top of one size range. - A shopper near the bottom of the next size range. - A shopper between sizes.
If the recommendation seems wrong, the min or max values may be reversed, or a column may be mapped to the wrong measurement.
7. Save the corrected quiz¶
Click Save after every correction. SmartSize does not auto-save size table changes.
Check the result¶
Make sure the quiz is set to Active so shoppers can see it on the storefront.
The extracted table matches your source chart in size count, measurement values, and units. The live preview returns sensible recommendations for common and edge-case body types.
